Isn’t it strange that in all of this “doom and gloom” there are many individuals who will make money? Regardless of the situation, Real Estate can and will continue to make people wealthy. In “bad areas”, cities re-zone and make developers rich. In “good areas”, people flock and drive up appreciation. In a recession, you buy and hold. In a booming economy, you flip. And in downtimes, you find another location that holds its own, much like Manhattan. I just wish I was there doing deals about 5 - 7 years ago.
Now it is almost time for California to turn itself around after I get in on the bottom.
